the poor live in 1 bedroomed inns that they share with the animals. The Black Death killed a large amount of the peasent population. This means that there are not enough peasants to work in the fields. Landowners are desperate for peasants to harvest their crops so they began to over wages for the people to work on their land. Peasants are now able to offer there services to the land workers for a well-payed wage. They can now afford better housing, houses that protect them from the weather. Many then began to live in wattle and daub houses, witch are taller and wider.
the more well off and wealthy, own houses with more comfort and protection then the less fortunate. The rich own houses made out of brick. Tiles are used on the roofs of the houses and on the chimneys. These houses have an upstairs area where the servants slept.
